Appropriately known as “The Gypsy King,” Tyson Fury is not just a formidable opponent in the ring but also a formidable collector of timepieces.
Fury’s collection of high-end timepieces, which combine striking design, exceptional craftsmanship, and unquestionable status, represents his extravagant persona and has more than £200 million “sitting in the bank.”
It’s the ideal opportunity to highlight Fury’s incredible watch collection as he prepares for his highly anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on December 21, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, dubbed “Usyk and Fury 2: Reignited.”
Fury’s collection, which includes stunning handcrafted pieces and highly sought-after grail watches, reflects his illustrious career: it is unrivaled, audacious, and hard to ignore.
With commentary from Robertino Altieri, CEO of WatchGuys, Mail Sport has examined these remarkable timepieces in greater detail, ranking them from most to least expensive.
‘Ring of Fire’ by Jacob & Co. (Est Value: £628,000)At the top of Fury’s collection is the Jacob & Co. ‘Ring of Fire’ watch.
This is a stunning work of art, not simply a watch. As daring as the combatants themselves, this 50mm rose gold masterpiece from the Astronomia Art collection was made to commemorate the uncontested fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
What makes it unique? A captivating double-axis flying tourbillon, a green dial modeled after the WBC title belt, and tiny, handcrafted figurines of Fury and Usyk locked in action. There are only four.
When one was put up for auction at Sotheby’s on May 14, 2024, the watch’s rarity was demonstrated. The winning offer? A staggering £630,000, and the winner was Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren.
What about Fury’s own “Ring of Fire”? This is where things start to get interesting. Experts are already making assumptions, such as Altieri, CEO of WatchGuys. “It could easily smash past $1,000,000 if Tyson’s personal watch were to go up for auction, like Tom Brady’s historic Sotheby’s GOAT Collection sale—especially with a rematch win,” he stated.
The Ring of Fire is more than simply a watch; it’s a fusion of athletic brilliance and cutting-edge workmanship. It’s a trophy—one that combines history, bravery, and extreme luxury—that goes beyond the ring.
Rolex Daytona Rose Gold (Estimated Value: £393,000)
The Rolex Rose Gold Rainbow Daytona (ref. 116595RBOW) is the next model. The Gypsy King is all too aware that this is more than simply a watch; it’s a statement.
The ‘Rainbow’ made its debut in 2012 in white and yellow gold, and its striking bezel—36 baguette-cut sapphires expertly set in a smooth gradient—as well as the case’s diamond-studded embellishments instantly drew attention.
However, Rolex went above and further in 2018 with the Everose Gold model. Constructed with Rolex’s own rose gold alloy, it instantly became a treasure, establishing its renowned status among collectors
“Many people consider it to be one of the most recognizable and difficult-to-get Rolex watches in the world,” Altieri stated.
Its charms were too strong for even Fury to ignore. The owner of this extremely rare masterpiece, Fury, famously issued a challenge: whomever defeated him in the ring would take home his Rainbow Daytona. The combination of unwavering confidence and the unquestionable status of a practically impossible-to-get watch made it the epitome of flex.
The Rainbow Daytona is more than simply a high-end watch; it’s a representation of uniqueness, aspiration, and the kind of audacity that draws attention everywhere it goes.
Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon by Jacob & Co. (Estimated Value: £275,000) The Jacob & Co.
Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon is another item in Fury’s collection. The essence of the Bugatti Chiron is embodied in this watch. This £300,000 black titanium clock, which is limited to just 126 pieces globally, is an engineering marvel.
What is its most notable feature? Within the container is a small Bugatti engine block, complete with working pistons that replicate the famous W16 engine’s pulse. It’s a mechanical performance that seems alive, not simply a watch.
With a sly aside, Altieri remarks, “This is a hot watch right now, especially in the boxing world—Jake Paul wears one too.” “Speaking of, I’d love to see a Jake Paul vs. Tyson Fury match.”
A favorite among collectors and sportsmen alike, the Chiron Tourbillon combines stunning design with high-performance elegance. Fury’s possession of this work of art further heightens its allure and solidifies his passion for unusual and eye-catching timepieces.
RM 011 Richard Mille Massa Felipe (Approximate Value: £175,000.)
Another noteworthy piece in Fury’s collection is the Richard Mille RM011. At £200,000, this watch is as audacious and unyielding as Fury. The RM011 was introduced in 2007 and has since won a spot on the wrists of professional players such as Bubba Watson and Rafael Nadal, making it the pinnacle of style and performance.
The 18-carat rose gold version of Fury’s watch has an eye-catching skeletonized dial with ivory accents. The heavyweight champion’s persona—strong, unorthodox, and unavoidable—is aptly reflected in this watch.
It’s interesting to note that Fury and Richard Mille aren’t officially partners, but he fits well in with the RM011 Felipe Massa model. According to Altieri, the present value is approximately £250,000. However, I wouldn’t anticipate a significant premium here given that Richard Mille, played by Tom Brady, sold for almost market value.
Whether you like it or not, the watch industry is still divided over Richard Mille’s futuristic designs. The RM011 is still exceptional, nevertheless, since it perfectly combines state-of-the-art engineering with a distinctive style. It’s more than just a watch to Fury; it’s another representation of his dominance.
GMT 116758SARU Rolex (Approximate Value: £157,000.)
Every facet of Fury is covered in the next watch. The Rolex GMT-Master is more than just a timepiece; it’s a spectacle. With its lavish 18-carat yellow gold construction, diamond pavé dial, and bezel studded with alternating rubies and sapphires in a perfect gradient, this £160,000 item is sure to turn heads. It shines from all sides because even the crown guard and lugs are covered in diamonds.
“Seeing another off-catalog Rolex in Fury’s collection, especially one as daring as this, doesn’t surprise me,” Altieri adds.
The SARU is more than simply a tool watch; it’s a stunning fusion of extravagant luxury and Rolex’s renowned craftsmanship, which perfectly complements Fury’s extravagant persona. Ultimately, when you’re the world’s heavyweight champion, a little extra sparkle doesn’t hurt.
The estimated value of Patek Philippe 5980 is £78,000.
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1A-001 will be the next in line. The reason this is so intriguing is that it’s not your normal Patek. As one can suppose, this steel chronograph wasn’t greeted with enthusiasm when it originally came out.
Its striking, large mono-counter subdial at six o’clock, which was taken from the platinum 5960 and cleverly combined a 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph, was viewed as unusual and even divisive. Its sportier edge didn’t appeal to Patek purists, who were more accustomed to the simple 5711 or the complex 5712.
At its initial price of about £25,000, the 5980 wasn’t exactly selling out.
Discounts could be negotiated by buyers, and it persisted in boutiques as a misinterpreted anomaly in the Nautilus line.
In the present day, the story has completely changed. Now one of the most sought-after steel chronographs available, the 5980 is discontinued and becoming more and more uncommon. It is a testament to Patek Philippe’s bold invention and progressive design.
Fury’s collection only had one Patek, which shocked me, but I’m glad it was this one. “Excellent,” says Altieri.
The 5980 is a great addition to Tyson Fury’s collection, which tends to be flamboyant and unorthodox. It’s a comeback story, a watch that resisted early criticism to become a heavyweight in its own right, and it’s more than just a premium timepiece.
The Rolex Sky-Dweller with Slate Grey Dial (ref. 326935) is one of the additional timepieces. (Approximate Value: £39,000)
This Rolex Sky-Dweller, which is crafted in opulent rose gold, has a sophisticated slate grey dial, two time zones, and an annual calendar. It is a favorite among collectors due to its elegance and adaptability. Altieri claims that the rose gold and grey dial combination is ideal.
Day-Date Anniversary Dial by Rolex (ref. 228235) (Approximate Value: £39,000)
With its unique green anniversary dial that honors the Day-Date’s rich history, this Everose gold Day-Date is a real icon. It is bold and timeless, and it goes well with Fury’s collection. Altieri continues, “I think this is one of my favorite dress watches and it’s a little more stylish than the SkyDweller Rose Gold options.”
The estimated value of Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Red Magic is £20,000.
This Hublot Spirit of Big Bang, which has dual time zones and an annual calendar, is both colorful and practical thanks to its eye-catching red highlights and creative design. “Like Fury himself, this is a watch that demands attention,” Altieri explains.
Black Dial Rolex Sky-Dweller (ref. 326139) (Approximate Value: £24,000)
This Sky-Dweller delivers a sophisticated interpretation of cutting-edge watchmaking with its elegant 18K white gold case and black leather strap. Its annual calendar and two time zones give functionality to its beauty. “Seeing a non-metal bracelet in his collection made me happy.” “It was a fitting piece for him, but I was surprised by the white gold,” Altieri adds.
Yacht-Master II by Rolex (ref. 116680) (Approximate Value: £13,600)
This model, which is intended for professional use, has a clear, readable display and a customizable countdown timer. “(It is) One of our best-selling ‘bigger’ watches right now,” Altieri explains. “A fantastic piece for everyday wear in his collection that consistently meets demand.”
Champagne Dial Rolex Sky-Dweller (ref. 326933) Value Estimate: £23,500
With two time zones and an annual calendar, this two-tone steel and yellow gold Sky-Dweller is both fashionable and practical. “This piece is effortlessly versatile due to the combination of steel and gold,” Altieri says.
The estimated value of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Coral Red Dial (ref. 124300) is £15,000.
With its striking coral red dial, this robust and striking stainless steel model stands out in any collection. Altieri observes, “This is a very nice piece and a discontinued model, yet again.”
126610LV ‘Kermit’ Rolex Submariner (Est. Value: £11,500)
The ‘Kermit’, a contemporary classic with an homage to Rolex’s past, has a green ceramic bezel. We have another best-seller. Altieri says, “The Rolex Starbucks is another fantastic everyday item for his collection.”
