Travis Kelce’s dad Ed shares the Moment Taylor Swift impressed him at Chiefs game: Look at You! (video)

In a recent exclusive interview, Ed Kelce, father of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, shared his insights into pop superstar Taylor Swift’s growing passion for the NFL. While attending a Chiefs game alongside Swift, Ed observed her impressive knowledge of football, marking a significant transformation since she began dating his son.

Ed Kelce reflected on a particular game that showcased Swift’s newfound understanding of the sport. As the Chiefs prepared to make a long shot at the end zone, Ed admitted, “I hate long shots.” To his surprise, Swift responded, “I’m going to take the point.” Ed recalled being taken aback, noting, “A year ago, you wouldn’t know a field goal from an extra point, and now you’re talking about football.” This moment underscored Swift’s evolution from a casual observer to an engaged fan, indicating her growing enjoyment of the game.

Describing Swift as a “very smart young lady” and “a very fun person,” Ed expressed his approval of the relationship between his son and the Grammy-winning artist. He remarked on Travis’s happiness with Swift, emphasizing that the couple looks forward to spending significant time together post-NFL season. “I think it’s going to be a really great time for both of them with no NFL season and no Eras tour—just them really bonding,” Ed said. “I think that can only be a good thing.”

When the conversation shifted to the possibility of a wedding between Travis and Swift, Ed skillfully sidestepped the topic, laughing at the inquiry. “You really think I would think of that?” he teased, highlighting the lighthearted nature of the discussion.

Ed Kelce also had the opportunity to experience Swift’s world firsthand when he attended her Eras tour in Toronto last November. He joined in on one of the tour’s cherished traditions, exchanging friendship bracelets, which further emphasized the familial bonds being formed.

As Swift continues to embrace her role as a football fan, Ed Kelce’s observations reveal an evolving relationship that bridges the worlds of pop culture and professional sports, much to the delight of fans on both sides.
