The palatial California estate where Jennifer Lopez married her second husband, the dancer and actor Cris Judd, in 2001 has hit the market, according to Realtor.com.
Located in the celebrity-saturated city of Calabasas, within the enclave of Cold Creek Estates, the French-inspired chateau is set on more than 10 acres of gated grounds and features more than 11,000 square feet of living space. It seeks $7.25 million.
Judd, 55, met Lopez, now also 55, while working as a backup dancer on her 2000 music video for the song “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” The pair were wed on September 29 of the following year at the 25010 Thousand Peaks Road home, and filed for divorce just nine months later — slightly shorter than the two years Lopez’s most recent marriage to her fourth husband, Ben Affleck, lasted.
(Their shared marital residence, meanwhile, listed for $68 million in Beverly Hills, which only furthered rumors about their divorce at the time.)
Judd, meanwhile, went on to describe his wedding to the pop star as “a circus” during which “I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain” while trying to sneak in, he told Us Weekly in 2022. He went on to marry his second wife, Kelly A. Wolfe, in November 2009. The pair share a daughter.
The short-lived Judd-Lopez marriage venue is today laid out as a six-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom residence set behind double iron gates and a motor court — and it’s nothing short of luxe. The main home opens to a grand foyer, which flows into a garden room conservatory offering a view of the lush landscaping on the grounds.
Amenities include a subterranean stone wine cellar and tasting room, a poker room, a sauna-equipped gym, a library — and a sprawling kitchen with two dishwashers.
The primary suite has three fireplaces, coffered ceilings, a sitting room and a private balcony.
The Santa Monica Mountain-surrounded grounds further boast an infinity-edge pool with a waterfall grotto, a covered poolside pavilion, a BBQ station, a fireplace and a changing room. There is also an English rose garden, a koi pond, a citrus orchard, a guest cottage and a four-car garage.
The listing is held by Jeff Biebuyck and Dana Olmes Frontgate of Compass.
