The modest house, located on the Westside of Jacksonville, was in an area known as Shantytown to the Van Zants, a tight-knit community that shaped their music and life experiences.

This home sits on eight lots and includes a fourplex and a manufactured home.
The property was restored to reflect its 1960s roots, capturing the simplicity and charm of the era when the Van Zant brothers learned to play music, swing on the backyard swing-set, and dream of rock stardom.

Though he retired in 2013 due to hearing problems, .38 Special remains a beloved part of Southern rock history.
