™ Exclusive: Tyson Fury eyes lavish mansion in offshore tax haven favoured by super-rich The British super-rich, with an estimated net worth of £50m, has set his sights on an exclusive period mansion near the Isle of Man village of Ballabeg

Boxer Tyson Fury, whose net worth is estimated to be around £50million, has been eyeing up an exclusive period mansion near the Isle of Man village of Ballabeg

Tyson Fury is eyeing a move offshore to the tax haven of the Isle of Man, the Mirror can reveal.

The millionaire boxer has viewed a luxury mansion to rent on the island in the Irish Sea, where the super-rich can pay no more than £200,000 a year in income tax. Fury, already believed to be worth £50million, could more than double his fortune this year with some key heavyweight bouts.

He chartered a helicopter to fly him to the £10,000-a-month mansion before Christmas, landing on the estate’s private helipad. An estate agent’s listing describes Billown Manor as: “One of the Isle of Man’s most exclusive period homes. Beautifully appointed, extremely private and set in a manicured parkland and lakeside setting.”

The property, near the village of Ballabeg on the south side of the island, features six double ensuite bedrooms, two self-contained two-bedroom flats, a “magnificent ballroom”, swimming pool, gym and tennis court. The new tenant must sign a two-year minimum contract and online adverts add: “Ready for immediate rental occupation having a versatile layout suited to a private residence and/or corporate HQ.”.

A source told the Mirror: “The owner, who has lived there for many years, is moving out and is advertising it to rent. It is one of the most impressive properties on the island.” Fury’s management team did not respond to a request for comment.

It is not the first time Fury has toyed with a move to the Isle of Man, which is just under four hours by ferry from his hometown of Morecambe, Lancashire. In 2022, before his Official After Party Tour visited the island, he said: “Last year, I was looking at buying a property on the Isle of Man.

The opulent mansion includes its own ballroom, swimming pool and tennis court

“I was thinking about moving there. So I’ll have a good scout around and see what I can see. It’s only a few hours from Morecambe on the ferry, isn’t it?”

Billown Mansion is the home of John Whittaker, the 81-year-old founder and chairman of the Peel Group, a major property and infrastructure business in the North West. He is set to move into another Isle of Man mansion, the refurbished former home of Formula 1 champion Nigel Mansell, who lived on the island until 1995. The Peel Group would not comment and Billown Manor remains on the market.

The Isle of Man is an attractive home for many wealthy people due to its generous tax breaks. Accounting firm KPMG said: “There are no wealth taxes, capital gains taxes or estate taxes, with a headline 0% corporate income tax rate and a higher rate of 20% for personal income tax. There is also an attractive tax capping regime.” Isle of Man residents can agree to a five or 10-year deal to have their annual tax bill capped at £200,000.

To qualify for residency, they must live there for at least six months of the year. Fury, 35, has earned tens of millions of pounds from heavyweight championship bouts, merchandising, fashions and his own brand of Furocity energy drinks. He was reported to have signed a deal worth £165m, covering his fight with Francis Ngannou last October and two upcoming clashes with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury is the WBC champion while Usyk holds the IBF, WBA and WBO belts. The fighter is also the director and owner of Tyson Fury Limited, which in 2022 had £53m in assets.
