From marrying young to leaving school early, Fabulous takes a look back at how the loved-up couple have followed their traditional values – and are determined for their six children to do the same…

GROWING UP IN CARAVANS

Paris was raised in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, by Irish Travellers like her boxing champion husband Tyson, who was raised in Wythenshawe, Manchester, by gypsies.

The mother of six told The Mirror: “I am a Traveller and nomad. I was raised in trailers as a girl.

“It’s just the traditional lifestyle; there’s no real definition, there’s no bloodline because we never went to the doctor to sаy we are who we are.”We’re old-fashioned—there was no paperwork, and some gypsies can’t read or write.”

Paris, who lives with her family in a modest £550,000 five-bed, four-bathroom home in Morecambe, Lancashire, uploaded a photo of a new garden caravan adornment earlier this year.Alongside the shot, she wrote: “For the garden…don’t forget where you come from.”

Tyson, known as “The Gypsy King” and worth £130 million, lived in a trailer on his father’s farm like Paris.Fury happily drives a gypsy wagon he bought and customized in 2020.

He said, “[It’s] real gold, gold leaf, all hand-painted.”We keep the sun at the back since the Gypsy code requires traveling toward the sun.”

Tyson has always been proud to travel, but trolls have made it hard.

He said in a 2016 press conference before a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko: “Nobody wants a gypsy to succeed.

All I am is a gypsy. My gypsy identity will never change. Nothing will change my fаt and whiteness.

“I am the champion, yet I am thought of as a bum.””

MARRYING YOUNG

Paris met her childhood beau at a mutual friend’s wedding when she was 15, and they started dating after reuniting at her 16th birthday celebration.

In November 2008, Tyson married Paris at 20 in St Peter-In-Chains Roman Catholic Church in Doncaster in front of 300 friends and family, following Traveller tradition.

The couple didn’t sleep together until their wedding night.

Traveller-born Paris said: “After we got engaged, Tyson slept in a trailer at my parents’ house while I slept inside.

Only after marriage did we sleep together. Travelers do it that way.””

BIG FAMILY

They now have six children: Venezuela, 13, Prince John James, 9, Prince Tyson II, 4, Valencia, 3, Prince Adonis Amaziah, 2, and Athena.

Paris stated in Love and Fury: The Magic and Mayhem of Life with Tyson that she feels obligated to care for her husband and children, wanting to “carry on the great Traveller tradition”.

As proud and dedicated wives and mothers, we thought it our responsibility and privilege to care for our homes and children.

She added, “I didn’t like the idea of them growing up with chefs and cleaners grafting away around us while I waltzed around all day looking glamorous.” She wants to set a good example for her six kids.

Paris said she and Tyson “intended to carry on the great Traveller tradition and have a big family.”

Says: “Three children at the very least, we’d sаy to each other, maybe even ten if we were lucky.””

LEAVING SCHOOL YOUNG

The customary nomadic lifestyle meant Paris and Tyson quit school after primary school without a diploma.

Paris stated in the 2020 ITV documentary ‘Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King’ that she wаnted her children to be educated at home and live with her until they married, whereas Tyson had a different view.

“Me and Tyson have talked about the kids going to school,” added Paris. “Tyson wants the boys to go to school, but we’ve never done that.

“I was raised as a Traveller and want my kids to be too. They’ll probably leave school at 11 and learn at home.

1Keeping with Traveller tradition, Paris encourages her children to leave school at age 11. Boys will marry and start families, while girls will marry and start families.

“I don’t want them to leave the house until they get married, but Venezuela won’t.

“Tyson’s idea is they have the best of both worlds; the upbringing of a Traveller but the education of a non-Traveller – how powerful could you be?”

Since then, Paris told Fabulous magazine about her 11-year-old daughter Venezuela leaving school.

“We finish school at primary age, which is the traditional traveller way,” she said.

“We modernized the custom. All her traveler friends were leaving school and Venezuela wаnted to leave.

“She’ll get her tests updated from her tutor. She will also take piano lessons.”

Despite Tyson’s worries, the couple agreed Venezuela should leave school as planned because to their hectic schedule.

The mother added: “We move a lot [the Furys have a Las Vegas residence and travel to America to see Tyson]. Full-time schooling and then going to America wouldn’t work.””

BOXING

Tyson told the BBC in 2014 that his heritage helped him become a fighter.

The Gypsy King said he needed to learn to figҺt and defend himself as a traveler.

“Boxing is part of travel culture,” he said.

Before anything else, learn to figҺt.

We’re meant to pull our shirts off, go outdoors, and settle disputes with fisticuffs, not call the cops.

“To be a good figҺting man is one of the best things you can ever be in life.”Tyson is connected to 1972–1992 bare-knuckle boxer Bartley Gorman, who called himself King of the Gypsies.

“Why be ashamed of what you really are?” John, Tyson’s dad, stated. “Tyson will always be a gypsy no matter what he does.””
