In a pivotal government meeting today, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko unveiled a bold new roadmap aimed at accelerating Senegal’s national development. With a clear call to action, Sonko emphasized the urgency of overcoming bureaucratic hurdles that have stymied progress, declaring, “No obstacle should impede public action.”

The Prime Minister’s address, delivered with palpable energy, outlined immediate reforms that will transform administrative processes. Within the next three months, a digital mail management system will be implemented to streamline communication and eliminate delays in critical projects. Sonko also announced the formation of a task force designed to expedite stalled initiatives, ensuring that all government departments are aligned with national priorities.

In a direct appeal to his ministers, Sonko demanded rigorous oversight of international commitments, insisting that quarterly progress reports become standard practice. “We must act with method, urgency, and efficiency,” he stated, underscoring the importance of accountability in governance.

Moreover, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in 2026, stressing that meticulous planning is essential for this major event. He urged his team to mobilize fully for a comprehensive recovery plan, which will be presented to the Cabinet soon and made public thereafter.

As Senegal stands at a crossroads, Sonko’s determined vision for the future is clear: every project will have a designated timeline, every minister a defined roadmap, and every obstacle a responsible party. The message is unmistakable—Senegal is poised for a transformative leap forward, and the time for action is now.
