® Lionel Messi has LANDED in Miami! Soccer’s biggest star arrives to complete his MLS move and start a new era in the United States

According to a report by DailyMail.com, Lionel Messi has arrived in Miami to finalize his move to Major League Soccer (MLS). He is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with Inter Miami, the team owned by David Beckham. The contract reportedly includes an option for another season. Messi’s salary is estimated to be between $50 million and $60 million per year, with contributions from adidas through Miami shirt sales and Apple TV, who own subscription rights to MLS.

Messi, who has been on vacation in the Caribbean with his family, was seen arriving at Miami airport with his wife Antonela and their three sons. Miami fans gathered outside the team’s DRV PNK Stadium to celebrate his arrival. Messi will be officially unveiled by Inter Miami on Sunday and is expected to make his debut on July 21 in a game against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.

The arrival of the 36-year-old Argentine superstar is expected to generate significant interest in soccer in the United States, as well as in Miami itself. Messi’s move to MLS comes after leading Argentina to victory in the World Cup in Qatar last year, marking a historic achievement for his international career.

Inter Miami, currently struggling in the MLS Eastern Conference, hopes that Messi’s presence will bring a much-needed boost of star quality to the team. The club is also in talks to sign Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba and free agent Sergio Ramos, who recently left PSG.

The report suggests that Messi’s arrival is part of a promising period for soccer in the United States, as the country is set to host the 2024 Copa America and co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside Mexico and Canada.
