The “Roller Coaster House” is for sale for $4.25 million

The 70s are disco music, funky colorful looks and also a certain number of houses with extravagant architecture, including the one nicknamed in Montreal the “Roller Coaster House”.

Recognizable among thousands, this villa built in 1976 is located in the heart of the residential district of Hampstead, in Montreal, where there is no shortage of luxurious houses. As its nickname suggests, what sets it apart from the others is above all its architecture with its original curves which seem directly inspired by roller coasters.

Inside, the multiple levels, high ceilings, rounded walls and huge bay windows give the house a completely unique air that takes us back several decades.

In addition to the kitchen and the classic living room, kitchen and dining room on the main floor, there are, among the 14 rooms in the villa, no less than six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a shower room, a sports hall and two garages.

But, the most incredible “room” is undoubtedly the one that contains the in-ground and heated indoor pool. Similar to a huge veranda, it is notably decorated with a unique rounded bar as well as a hanging chandelier, and it overlooks the garden.
