Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have an impressive $63million property portfolio, though they are currently not living together amid a seven-year-separation.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star, 55, and the Matrix actress, 52, have taken out four mortgages worth $11,820,000, according to The Sun.
Among their mortgaged properties are two mansions gifted to their kids, Willow, 22, and Jaden, 25. At the moment Jada has her own house nearby to Will in Calabasas, but recently said she sees herself living with him again in the future.
Their most recent real estate purchase was a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in the gated Hidden Hills community, which they purchased in March 2021 for $11.3 million.
Ten months after the acquisition, they refinanced and took out a $7,345,000 home loan with City National Bank, with a rate of 2.39 per cent for ten years.
The property is not in their name, but instead a trust, with the trustees being Jada’s mom Adrienna Banfield Norris and Michelle Morton, a top finance expert.
The pair already had a five bedroom and six bathroom home in the area, which they bought in April of 2003, for $3.4M.
In 2017 it was reported that Jaden moved into the property, at 18.
The property has two mortgages on it, both in trusts that are linked to Will and Jada.
One mortgage from 2011 is for $955,000, and it was followed by a home loan in October of last year, for $1,350,000, bringing it up to a total of $2,305,000 in loans.
Just like Jaden, the pair’s daughter Willow moved into a property they purchased. Her four-bed hillside Malibu home was bought in August 2020 for $3.1M.
Two months after its purchase the pair took out a $2,170,000 loan through Morton, Will’s business manager, bringing their four mortgages to a total of $11,820,000.
Though the pair’s two kids were gifted their own homes, Will’s oldest son Trey, 30 – whom he shares with ex Sheree Zampino – still appears to be living with Will in Calabasas.
The home is mortgage-free as it was built by Will and Jada.
To make their home a reality, the Smiths bought a number of neighboring properties in LA in 2003, and started turning them into one compound.
The project took seven years to complete.
The estate consists of nine bedrooms, a home theater, a pool, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, an eight-car garage, and more.
The pair listed the home in 2013 for $42M, but later decided to keep it.
They also have a five-bed, six-bath place in Woodlands Hills, which they bought for $910k in 2010. The home has no mortgage.
Adding on to that they have at least two places in Pennsylvania, which they bought in the nineties for under $1M each.
Lastly, they are rumored to own a luxury cabin in Park City, Utah.
Last week Jada shared that she will live with estranged husband Will again one day to ‘take care of him’ because he’s ‘getting old’.
The star stunned the world earlier this month, when she revealed that she and Will have secretly been separated for seven years – citing their ‘exhaustion with trying’ as the reason behind their split.
She then further opened up about their current arrangements saying they are ‘life partners’ and that she plans to look after him in the future.
She told The Times: ‘I think eventually we will [live together again.] I really do. Will’s getting old. I’m staying quite young, but it’s getting apparent to me that he’s gonna need someone to take care of him.’
Jada has been married to Will since 1997.
