Matthew Perry sells his stunning 1960s Hollywood Hills home with an LED-lit infinity pool, a subterranean screening room and dazzling views for $12.5million after snapping up new $20million California home
He splashed out $20million on a luxury California condo last summer.
And after moving into his new abode, Matthew Perry is getting rid of his west coast property portfolio, selling his Hollywood Hills house for $12.5million.
The stunning 1960s residence was put up for sale at $13.5million last year, but the sale has been finally been made, for a million less, in a deal made off market.
Matthew’s house, located in the Bird Streets of Hollywood Hills West, comprises of a stunning 3,821 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Built in 1962, the pad was originally purchased by the Friends star in August 2011 for $8.5 million, according to property records seen by Variety.
The main draw of the stylish property are the dazzling downtown skyline views with the Pacific Ocean in the distance.
Laid out in an open plan style, the living/dining space is entered through a gated courtyard and a statement glass door. Cosy nooks have been created with a living area fireplace and built-in bookshelves.
The stunning kitchen meanwhile features hard to miss acid green countertops and matching chairs around a ten seater dining table.
Floor to ceiling glass doors open out on to the gorgeous backyard which is perfect for entertaining with numerous fire pits dotted around, a reflecting pool, lawn area with sun loungers and an outdoor living and dining room.
The real highlight of the outside space though is the jaw-dropping LED-lit infinity edge swimming pool. The pool also provides the view for the unusual subterranean screening room, which is hidden under the master suite with two-inch thick windows that look into the depths of the pool.
The sleek interiors continue into the bedrooms and bathroom, with the master bath featuring a huge walk-in shower, free-standing bath next to a TV and windows looking out onto lush greenery in the courtyard.
The master bedroom makes the most of the stunning views over the city, with three glass walls surrounding the luxury kingsize bed.
Matthew’s sale comes after he snapped up a luxurious penthouse condo in Century City’s famed Century Tower last summer.
He paid $20million for the the swish wholefloor apartment which is a far cry from Chandler’s West Village digs, as it comes with seven bathrooms, two fireplaces and a 25 guest dining room in place of the foosball table/dinner table in Friends.
The luxury living quarters also include four bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, a powder room and a huge centre-island kitchen.
The property’s panoramic views take in stunning sights including downtown Los Angeles, the Santa Monica mountains and the ocean with the master bedroom in prime position for the morning sunrise.
