Tyson Fury lost to Usyk because… “rapper Drake’s curse”
Tyson Fury just received the first defeat of his career when he lost to Usyk in a classic belt unification match and it seems to be partly due to…. “rapper Drake’s curse”.
Stunned by a knockdown punch in round 9, pressured to the point of suffocation in the final rounds and finally losing by points, Tyson Fury just suffered the first defeat of his career and it was bitter because it was a loss to Usyk in world classic belt unification stage. It’s even more “spicy” because Fury’s failure may have partly come from… “rapper Drake’s curse”.
Immediately after Tyson Fury’s defeat, the media leaked information that this famous Canadian rapper had previously… bet more than half a million dollars, exactly 565 thousand dollars, on Fury defeating Usyk. If he wins the bet, Drake will earn more than $1 million.
It wouldn’t be a problem if Drake wasn’t famous for “betting blindly” because most of the boxers and sports clubs that this rapper chooses to bet on usually… lose a lot. Before the Fury-Usyk match, Drake most recently bet up to 615 thousand dollars on the noisy fight Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou.
In that match, Drake chose former UFC king Ngannou and the result was that the Cameroonian boxer… lay flat on the floor after less than… 6 minutes of fighting.
Furthermore, rapper Drake once bet $550,000 on “eagle” Israel Adesanya when this boxer shockingly lost to Sean Strickland on the UFC floor. More tragically, earlier this year at the UFC 298 event, Drake bet 700 thousand dollars on Strickland, but this boxer… lost to Du Plesiss.
And yet, Drake once “broke” 430 thousand dollars into the Jake Paul – Tommy Fury boxing match. In particular, this rapper also lost… 1 million dollars when betting on the 2022 World Cup final between France and Argentina.
Perhaps, if he rematches Usyk in the third quarter or at the end of this year, Tyson Fury will have to pray that the “betting bet” Drake does not choose his name….
