Lionel Messi, the Argentine football legend, has been making headlines since his move to Inter Miami, and now he’s making waves in the real estate market too. Recently, Messi, accompanied by his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their eldest son Thiago, was spotted on a house-hunting tour in Boca Raton, Florida. The family is looking to add another property to their portfolio in the Sunshine State.
It’s no surprise that Messi is exploring new homes in Florida, as he made history by joining Inter Miami and has already proven his worth with impressive performances on the field. He even took over the captaincy of the team, and his impact has been felt from the very beginning.
While on the tour, the 36-year-old forward and his wife couldn’t hide their happiness as they explored a luxury home in Boca Raton. The property, located about an hour north of Miami and just 25 minutes from DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, seemed to be a perfect fit for the Messi family.
The house reportedly featured a golf putting green, and Messi got a demonstration from someone, who was seen with a golf club in hand. The family is known for their love of the game, and having a golf course nearby would undoubtedly be a bonus.
This potential new property wouldn’t be the first for the Messis in south Florida. They already own a luxurious $9 million apartment with stunning views of Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami. The apartment, situated in the Porsche Design Tower, offers a private restaurant, an outdoor lounge facing the sea, a cinema, as well as golf and racing simulators.
With Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami, the team has become a hub for former Barcelona teammates. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have also joined the MLS club, making it a reunion of sorts.
As for Luis Suarez, he expressed his desire to reunite with Messi and retire together, but negotiations between his current club Gremio and Inter Miami didn’t work out. However, both Messi and Suarez remain hopeful that they might get to play together again someday.
The move to the United States and the house-hunting excursion in Boca Raton marks a new chapter in Messi’s storied career. With his family by his side, he’s sure to continue making an impact both on and off the field, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of football.
