Rashford recounts receiving an internal penalty from MU
In early 2023, striker Marcus Rashford received an internal disciplinary sentence from coach Ten Hag for being late. He was removed from the starting list in the confrontation with Wolves in the Premier League.
Recently, the player born in 1997 told about the above incident. The English striker himself believes that coach Ten Hag did the right thing when he violated the regulations.
Rashford said:
“I totally agree with his decision. But I’m not as late as many people think. I’m probably only about 45 seconds late. But then, I also knew what to face. Rules are rules and everyone on the team has to follow them.”
After the internal punishment, Rashford was very determined to make atonement. He spent the second half of the 2022/23 season in explosive form.
MU’s No 10 has 30 goals in all competitions last season. Rashford made a big contribution to helping the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup, finish the Premier League in the top 4 and reach the FA Cup Final.
After an explosive season, Rashford aims to score 40 goals next season. In addition, he also cherished the dream of breaking Rooney’s scoring record at MU with 123 goals.
