Alica Schmidt or Erling Haaland – who is faster? The German, who was named the “hottest athlete in the world” a few years ago, now challenged the Manchester City superstar to a duel.
“Would you beat Erling Haaland in a 400-meter dash?” Schmidt was asked by the Norwegian newspaper “Dagbladet” on the fringes of the World Athletics Championships.
Her answer: “I don’t know. Perhaps. I think over 400 meters I would do it. But over 200 meters it would be more difficult. In any case, I’ll be happy to take on this duel against Haaland if it ever comes to that.”
With a grin, Schmidt says: “Haaland, if you’re ready to compete against me, I’d like to see who’s the faster one of us.”

Schmidt has already defeated a prominent footballer. For her first YouTube video (above) in 2020, she challenged Borussia Dortmund kicker Mats Hummels to a duel and defeated the central defender. And the video literally went through the roof: it now has a whopping 5.7 million views.
