A Journey Of 66 Shows: BLACKPINK Set To Conclude Their Groundbreaking “Born Pink” World Tour

BLACKPINK are wrapping up their monumental Born Pink World Tour with a bang! Their final concert will be held at the iconic Gocheok Sky Dome, the largest indoor concert venue in Korea. This news, confirmed by YG Entertainment on Thursday, not only marks the finale of the group’s epic tour but also makes BLACKPINK the first female K-Pop act to grace the venue, a space that can hold around 20,000 avid fans.

The crowning performance is scheduled for September 16-17. Fans worldwide who can’t make it in person, fret not! The performance on the 17th will be broadcast live online. Originally, BLACKPINK’s Los Angeles gig was meant to be the concluding concert. However, to the delight of their home fans, they added this Seoul show as the cherry on top.

Masterminded by the tour’s creative director, Amy Bowerman, the Born Pink show has been a mesmerizing depiction of BLACKPINK’s dual identity and the unique essence of each member. Designed in four captivating acts, the tour begins in an enchanted garden that displays BLACKPINK’s signature “pink” side — a dreamy, flirtatious world. Yet, as the acts progress, the ambiance transitions to a potent monochrome, representing their edgier side.

The collaboration between YG Entertainment’s all-female production team, Ceremony London, and BLACKPINK was a seamless fusion of creativity. With BLACKPINK’s active involvement in the tour’s planning, especially the setlist, the outcome was nothing short of magical. Their connection with fans, endearingly known as “BLINKs,” wasn’t overlooked, incorporating moments for interactive sessions.

Each concert starts with the enchanted garden theme, followed by a whirlwind of hits from “How You Like That” to “Lovesick Girls.” The subsequent acts showcase dystopian settings, individual solo performances, and finally, a culmination of BLACKPINK’s duality concept. Their encores, particularly in stadium shows in France and the US, are marked by fireworks and a fresh setlist, keeping the energy alive till the very end.
