Despite fans thinking otherwise, Metro Boomin confirmed he is in fact not beefing with Drake.

Responding to someone on X, asking whether he was feuding with Drake or not, Metro let it be known that when it comes to any of those rumors and speculation, it’s really not that serious.

“Are u and Drake seriously beefing or is it not that deep,” Metro was asked. “Not deep at all lmao,” he responded.

The rumor essentially spawned in early December after Metro criticized the award shows system in a tweet, calling it “just politics,” and citing Her Loss’ victories over his own Heroes & Villains as “proof.” Both albums are up for Best Rap Album at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards.
“Yet ‘Her Loss’ still keeps winning rap album of the year over ‘H&V.’ proof that award shows are just politics and not for me,” Metro said at the time. “Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”

Then the internet sleuths did their thing and came to the conclusion that Drake responded on his IG story with some JAY-Z lyrics as a direct shot back at Metro.

And then once again in a livestream saying, ”And to the rest of you. The non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet-and-deleters, you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam.”

Metro then had fans believe he heard Drake loud and clear when he shared a tweet using an RDCWorld skit that fans believed was tied to their so-called feud.

But alas, as Metro explained, its really not that deep.
