Who are Roger Federer’s parents?
Roger Federer’s parents are Robert, 73, and Lynette, 67.
Robert is a German-Swiss and Lynette is South African.
They met when Robert moved to South Africa in his 20s in 1970.
Robert and Lynnette got married in 1973 and had Roger on August 8, 1981.
They introduced Roger to tennis, but have always insisted he was gifted and was never forced.
Robert manages the Roger Federer Foundation, which helps fund education and sports projects in countries with high child mortality rates.

Lynette participated in track and field, netball and field hockey when she was young.
It is unclear if Robert was also an athlete.
Today, they both play tennis and golf – and Robert admits Lynette is much better.
