Interacting with fans is very important for any artist. And after an audience member threw water on Cardi B during a concert in late July, the female rapper responded by throwing the microphone in her hand at her opponent. And now, the microphone has been auctioned on eBay for a fortune.
Scott Fisher – owner of The Wave, the sound company that provided microphones for Cardi B’s concert – auctioned the microphone on eBay for charity purposes. Ending on August 8, the microphone was priced at 99,900 USD (plus $20 shipping) after 122 auctions. The money will be divided in half and sent to two charities: Friendship Circle Las Vegas and The Wounded Warrior Project.
According to information on eBay, the microphone is described as a “Shure Axient wireless digital mic”. The seller identified the microphone as having been thrown by Cardi B because there was a white strip of tape at the bottom with the words “Main” written on it. Scott said the microphone still worked normally.
