Rachel Zegler shared a sweet anecdote with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Presidents’ Day. The West Side Story star took to social media to recount an event with the former Veep star.
“Sat next to Julia Louis-Dreyfus in an airport lounge today and it took everything in me not to wish her a happy presidents day,” Zegler posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Zegler was referencing Louis-Dreyfus’s role on the HBO comedy series that ran for seven seasons on the premium cable network and was created by Armando Iannucci.
Louis-Dreyfus played the role of Selena Meyer, a fictional vice president of the United States who became the president in later seasons. The actress won six consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category.
Zegler had another run-in with with an Emmy winner that her fans were curious about. One of Zegler’s followers asked her if she told Jennifer Aniston that she was named after Rachel Green from Friends.
“Yes and she said she knew,” Zegler replied to the fan.
Zegler was at the People’s Choice Awards, where she won Action Movie Star of the Year for her role in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Following her win, she took to social to thank everyone who “took a moment to vote” for her.
“And if you are simply a lover of these stories— as all of us in this film are— thank you. you are truly the reason we get to tell such awesome stories. thank you thank you thank you,” she posted on X.
