4. Stellan Skarsgård As Baron Vladimir Harkonnen
Stellan Skarsgård, you know, the guy from the Marvel movies and a bunch of other stuff is back in Dune: Part Two as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. He’s the big bad guy who’s always causing trouble. You might remember him from Chernobyl or Mamma Mia! Skarsgård’s character, Vladimir, is like the arch-nemesis of Paul’s dad and used to run Arrakis.
He’s the head of House Harkonnen, and he’s got these crazy belts that let him float around, even though he’s super heavy. And get this, there’s this creepy image of him bathing in oil, which just shows how creepy he is.
5. Dave Bautista As Glossu Rabban
Dave Bautista, known for his wrestling career in the WWE, made a successful transition to acting. You might recognize him as Drax the Destroyer from the Marvel movies or as Mr. Hinx in Spectre. Bautista also worked with Dune director Denis Villeneuve in Blade Runner 2049, playing Sapper Morton. Bautista returns as Glossu Rabban in Dune: Part Two. Glossu is Baron Harkonnen’s nephew and a ruthless enforcer. He’s also the older brother of Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha.
6. Zendaya As Chani
Zendaya, famous for her roles in Euphoria and the Spider-Man movies, joins the Dune cast again. She’s known for her versatility, from playing Rue Bennett to MJ in the MCU. The 27-year-old reprises her role as Chani in Dune: Part Two.
Chani is a young Fremen woman who becomes Paul’s love interest in the sequel. While she had a small role in the first movie, she’s expected to have a bigger presence in the sequel.
7. Charlotte Rampling As Gaius Helen Mohiam
Charlotte Rampling, known for her iconic roles in the Swinging Sixties and later in Dexter, returns to Dune: Part Two. She’s a versatile actress with a wealth of experience. Rampling returns as Gaius Helen Mohiam, a Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother and the Emperor’s Truthsayer. She’s skilled in divining intentions, detecting lies, and manipulating emotions.
8. Javier Bardem As Stilgar
Javier Bardem, acclaimed for his roles in No Country for Old Men and Skyfall, reprises his role as Stilgar in Dune: Part Two. He’s a versatile actor known for his captivating performances.
Bardem returns as Stilgar, the leader of the Fremen tribe at Sietch Tab. He’s a powerful character, deeply intertwined with the fate of House Atreides and the Fremen. Trained extensively in Fremen combat, Stilgar sees the potential in Paul and plays a crucial role in the unfolding events of the Dune universe.
The lineup for Dune: Part Two is stacked with talent, promising an exciting sequel. However, there’s a big question on everyone’s mind: Will Jason Momoa return as Duncan Idaho for Dune Part Two?
Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the first film.
Duncan bit the dust there. He was a key player, training Paul Atreides and serving as a top-notch swordsman and advisor. Unfortunately, he met his demise battling the Sardaukar forces, aiding Paul and Jessica’s escape. So, he won’t have a part in Part Two, as the film follows the latter half of Frank Herbert’s first Dune book (Dune World), which didn’t include Idaho.
