YouTube megastar MrBeast (AKA Jimmy Donaldson) has launched a virtual restaurant and – no surprise – it’s an instant hit.
The internet sensation, who boasts over 48 million subscribers on YouTube, recently partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts to bring his delivery-only burger joint to the masses.
Shortly after it was launched, the MrBeast Burger app was the most downloaded on iTunes and Google Play and became one of the top five most popular Google searches.
Over the weekend, Donaldson debuted his free drive-thru burger concept near his hometown of Greenville, North Carolina for a one-day only pop-up event.
The YouTuber shared a video of the launch which showed lines of cars stretching for miles with hungry drivers all ready to sink their teeth into a MrBeast burger … and a fat wad of cash.
Not only was MrBeast serving up meals at no cost to consumers but lucky diners were also treated to money and prizes.
With the success of the pop-up under his belt, Donaldson decided to bring MrBeast Burger to the masses via his new virtual app.
While the offerings are no longer free, the virtual brand has been added to existing operational kitchens in cities across America. That means ordering from MrBeast Burger will help infuse much needed cash into independent and chain restaurants that have been hit hard in the pandemic.
‘I am really excited about the launch of MrBeast Burger,’ Donaldson said in a press release. ‘We have put months of hard work into putting this together and can’t wait for our fans to have a taste of what we’ve cooked up!’
Adding: ‘We’ve had such a great response from our fans, and we’re excited to sign up more restaurants.’
Through his partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts, MrBeast Burger is now available coast to coast in more than 30 major markets in the United States, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Tampa and Boston, with additional locations coming in 2021.
MrBeast Burger’s menu was created by MrBeast himself in collaboration with VDC Culinary Director Eric Greenspan. Chef Greenspan is best known as the chef and owner of The Foundry in Los Angeles, is a mainstay on television’s most popular cooking competitions as both a competitor and judge, and has been dubbed king of the grilled cheese.
The menu includes classics like crinkle cut fries, juicy smashed burgers and spicy Nashville hot chicken sandwiches and was released in close to 300 locations.
Fans clamored to try the delectable offerings and, remarkably, the restaurants all sold out in just one night.
‘We worked closely with Jimmy and his team to ensure every item on the menu was authentic,’ said Robbie Earl, co-founder of Virtual Dining Concepts. ‘After many productive taste-tests, we have a menu that everyone is proud of—and it is designed to easily operate out of any restaurant kitchen.’
Earlier this month Virtual Dining Concepts partnered with the queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey on Mariah’s Cookies, as well as with TYGA BITES by hip-hop artist Tyga.
Next year the company has collaborations with Mario Lopez for Mario’s Tortas Lopez and Pauly D’s Italian Subs by DJ Pauly D.
Hungry fans can order their very own MrBeast Burger through the MrBeast Burger app or through most major food delivery apps, including Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats, and Seamless.
