GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — MrBeast must love pushing himself and his friends. His latest video involves another test of wills.
His newest video released on Saturday, “7 Days Stranded On An Island,” puts him, Noah, Chandler and two new additions — Mack and Shawn — on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere for seven days. They have to adjust by building shelter and using the supplies that come with them in a survival crate.
Mack is one of the contestants who has been featured in videos before, losing in two recent group challenges (though someone said in the chat of the video he’s been in three). Shawn is a big guy who seems to have lots of skills when it comes to building camp and other survival skills. He comes in very handy.
The team settles into the first night with adequate shelter they eventually improve upon and build a fire using sunscreen. Along the way, they encounter such obstacles as trying to conserve water, making their way to a rock formation hundreds of yards away, catching a chicken they eventually name Bryan (remember the pelican from when they were stranded on a makeshift raft for seven days) and lots and lots of bug bites.
SportsSkeeda.com even reported in what is now a deleted post on X that MrBeast said, “Our new 7 days on deserted island video is extremely rough. We had to film it twice because the first time I woke up during the challenge with like 1,000 bug bites/sunburn and couldn’t keep going.”
In another X post that hasn’t been deleted, MrBeast points out how proud he is of the video and its storytelling, saying “Let me know if you like the editing style of the new video! It’s slower and especially toward the end shows more depth of what we’re experiencing than I used to show. I think we’re on to something :)”
