A multimillion-dollar mansion that’s hit the market in Wilmington, North Carolina, is a guacamole-lover’s dream.
The $7 million home measures 10,960 sq. ft. with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pool, a separate guesthouse, and even an elevator.
But no doubt the most unique thing about the estate is its circular driveway, which looks like a giant avocado.
The home, which has been listed by Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty, was built by Fred Murray in 2005 and was initially list in April of 2009 at $7,800,000.
The price has since dropped several times and is down to $6,999,000.
Situated on 10 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway, the house has ocean views, a pier and gazebo on the water, a five-car garage, and a large porch with a wood-burning fireplace.
Inside is a large gourmet kitchen, a study, an observatory, and an indoor pool, as well as a fitness space, his and hers dressing areas, a wet bar, a retractable movie screen, and a custom-made jellyfish artisan glass fixture.
‘This is a property that offers exceptional privacy, the opportunity for deepwater boating, and some of the best ocean views that can be found on the North Carolina coast,’ Nick Phillips, from Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty, told Jam Press.
Even with all its luxurious touches, though, it’s the driveway that has captivated social media users.
Photos of the driveway were shared by the Instagram account Zillow Gone Wild, showing how the owners transformed the otherwise unremarkable teardrop-shaped drive into the beloved green fruit.
The island in the middle of the driveway is lined with green grass, while the center is a dark mulch or dirt that resembles an avocado’s pit.
‘You can have avocados AND a home! People be lying to millennials,’ joked one commenter.
‘Holy guacamole this is a nice place,’ quipped another.
‘That roundabout is the pits,’ a third chimed in.
‘Ill host the housewarming, but it’s BYOC – bring your own chips,’ one more commenter wrote.
Another imagined the owner telling visitors, ‘Hey no worries just park in the avocado.’
One more called it her ‘dream mansion,’ while several said they were suddenly craving guacamole.
