Greenville’s MrBeast took to X on Thursday to issue a challenge to the CEO of T-Series, the current most-subscribed YouTube page in the world. The challenge was a simple one: “I challenge the CEO of T-Series to a boxing match.” There was no further context.
According to the Times of India, there is no mention of a CEO for the company. However, Bhushan Kumar is the managing director and chairman.
T-Series, India’s largest music label, is listed as having over 265 million subscribers while MrBeast has just over 258 million as of 2 p.m. Friday. T-Series passed PewDiePie as the No. 1 YouTube page back in 2019. It’s been a goal of MrBeast since then to overtake the music site.
T-Series has been urging its fans to add new subscribers, even releasing a video about that. Because the internet has everything, there’s a site on YouTube with a live track of the race between MrBeast and T-Series for YouTube world domination.
Will the boxing match be the final blow or will MrBeast inevidentally catching and passing T-Series be the knockout punch?
