Tom Cruise has just shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the extremely dangerous scene of driving a motorbike down a canyon in Norway in the latest part of the movie ‘Mission: Impossible’.
The setting for the film Tom Cruise chose was a large canyon in Norway, made in September 2020. The behind-the-scenes clip, less than half a minute long, just shared by the actor on his personal page, can fully explain the danger of the “difficult” scene in part 7 of Mission Impossible, which is about to hit theaters.
Tom Cruise admitted that this was one of the most dangerous scenes he had ever done when he had to drive his motorbike into a deep canyon. Famous for doing his own risky scenes without a stuntman, this time the 61-year-old actor had to exclaim: “What am I doing? This is really a terrible idea.”
However, Tom Cruise still completed the stunt to the surprise of the whole crew. “Why do we do this?”. In response to director Christopher McQuarrie’s question, Tom Cruise said: “because that is the mission of Mission Impossible”.
To prepare for the scene, Tom Cruise had to rehearse 13,000 flying motorbike scenes and 500 skydives before officially filming. “I put effort into the scene for many years. I wanted to do this since I was a kid,” Tom Cruise expressed.
