Patrick Mahomes brightens the day of a young fan before the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason finale with a remarkable gesture

PATRICK Mahomes left a young fan starstruck with a great gesture ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs game last night.

The reigning Super Bowl champions took on the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in their final preseason game.

Having already played during the preseason, Mahomes sat out of yesterday’s contest.

He was still present, however, and before the game made one fan’s dream come true.

Kinley Zimmer was in attendance courtesy of The Dream Factory and got to stand on the sideline with her family.

The Dream Factory is a charity that provides incredible experiences for 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren either suffering with life-threatening or chronic illnesses and disorders.

Mahomes greeted Kinley with a high five on the sideline.

He then had some kind words for her.

“I appreciate you coming to the game today,” he said.

“I wanna give you the game ball, hope you enjoy it out there!”

The star quarterback smiled and shook a member of Kinley’s family’s hand as he walked off.

Wearing a Mahomes Chiefs jersey, Kinley looked overwhelmed as she clutched the game ball in her hands.

She then hugged a member of her family as she appeared to well up with happy tears.

The Chiefs subsequently posted a clip of the wholesome interaction online.

“Thanks to The Dream Factory for bringing Kinley Zimmer to our game today!” they wrote on X.

“She got to join us on the sideline, and she received a very special gift from @PatrickMahomes.”

Fans loved the heartwarming interaction.

“So awesome!” one responded on X.

“Mahomes and the Chiefs are just good people and no one will ever convince me otherwise,” a second chimed in.

“Just made her day,” a third commented.

“Wow so sweet,” another added.

The Chiefs, who went on to lose the game 34-21, will begin its NFL regular season on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
