Details of the Fisker Ronin tourist convertible supercar: “weird” like the Mazda RX-8, as luxurious as the Mercedes S-Class Maybach convertible

According to the manufacturer’s definition, Fisker Ronin is a “super GT convertible” capable of traveling up to nearly 1000km / charge while having enough room for 5 people to sit comfortably.

After being launched last week , the American car company Fisker has continued to reveal more details about what the company calls “the convertible GT supercar” – Fisker Ronin. There will only be 999 Ronin units produced with a selling price of $385,000 each (equivalent to VND 9,147 billion).

The company, founded and led by automotive designer Henrik Fisker, says the Ronin will function as a sports sedan when the hardtop is installed and has the ability to remove the roof, making it a sort of vehicle 2-in-1 convenience similar to the now-discontinued Mercedes S-Class convertible. In addition, Ronin also has 2 rear side doors in the style of the first generation Mazda RX-8 or MINI Clubman since returning to BMW.

According to the company, the foldable hard carbon roof will be activated with a smartphone and retract into the trunk, leaving “some storage space”. In addition, the Ronin has a front trunk that provides extra space for luggage. All doors can be opened remotely using a smartphone and a single door handle will be mounted on each side. The front door will open by phone or swipe the handle, then the handle will separate from the body if the user wants to get in the back.

Fisker says the Ronin’s expected time to accelerate from 0 to 96km/h is about 2 seconds, while the top speed will be 274km/h. This is achieved in part by “more than 1,000 hp” electric propulsion and the use of lightweight materials, such as the aluminum space frame and 23-inch carbon fiber wheels. The car can go 965km on a single charge.

Inside, the California-based manufacturer says Ronin will set new standards for sustainable luxury. The vehicle will use innovative sustainable and recycled materials with the goal of transforming it into the world’s most eco-friendly electric convertible Super GT.

A 17.1-inch high-resolution screen and digital instrument cluster are located at the front, with an additional screen placed on the steering wheel itself. Customers can now deposit Fisker Ronin on the company’s website, with a $2,000 deposit for the first pre-order and $1,000 for the second refundable.
