The eye-catching, fully customized 1956 Buick Century station wagon was meticulously crafted and conceptualized by a highly regarded and reputable automobile builder and restoration establishment, Cars R Us Auto Body Inc., situated in Omaha, Nebraska.
This remarkable vehicle is a 1956 Buick Station wagon that was put up for auction at a Barrett-Jackson event a few years back. As evident from the images, it has undergone comprehensive modifications to every aspect of the automobile.
Originally a 4-door model, it has been transformed into a 2-door configuration. The extensive modifications required a meticulous two-year process and countless hours of manpower to accomplish, but I believe you’ll concur that the results were undoubtedly worth the effort.
The alterations encompass the integration of a tuned 455 Oldsmobile engine seamlessly mated to a turbo 400 transmission, channeling the engine’s power to the road via a 9-inch Ford rear axle.
The vehicle’s exterior showcases a Chromealusion Blasberry Indigo paint on the upper section and Manhattan Beige on the lower part, complemented by meticulously hand-applied pinstriping. The conventional door handles have been seamlessly eliminated, the hood has been sleekly decked, the original headlights have been replaced with VW Beetle counterparts, and the rear lights hail from a Packard model.
Thanks to the installation of an air suspension system, the car now boasts the capability to maintain an impressively low profile while ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. Each corner is adorned with striking 22-inch spinner wheels.
Within the vehicle’s interior, enhancements include the integration of an Ididit steering column, power windows, and a Billet steering wheel. The dashboard has been enriched with a collection of Dakota Digital Gauges, which find harmonious companionship in the elongated center console that spans the length of the car. Adorned in Manhattan Beige Leather, the interior trim features unique hand-crafted inserts and graphics that harmonize with the exterior design.
Fully custom, fully awesome.
