She’s been relentlessly promoting her second directorial effort, Unbroken, over the last few weeks.
And the hard work never stops for Angelina Jolie, who was once again the star of the show at the Unbroken press conference at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City on Thursday, where she was joined by her co-star Jack O’Connell.
The 39-year-old actress looked incredible in a white dress with capped sleeves as she discussed her World War II drama, which is based on the story of late prisoner of war survivor Louis Zamperini.
Angelina – who tied the knot with her long-term partner Brad Pitt this summer – was channeling bridal wear in her simple ensemble.
The white garment boasted a scooped neckline and detailing under the bust, and showed off her numerous tattoos.
The Oscar-winning actress highlighted her amazing bone structure with natural make-up and wore her brunette locks down in tumbling waves.
The Hollywood hunk attended a Fury Special Screening and Q&A at Pacific Design Center in California on Thursday.
Brad was dressed to impress in a smart suit paired with tinted glasses at the event.
Later on in the day, the elegant actress changed into an equally stunning yet simple look as she presented a Supper at Porter House alongside actress Jodie Foster and movie mogul Peggy Siegal.
Angelina opted for smart trousers and a simple black top, throwing a classic white blazer over the top.
She added a slick of hot pink lipstick and opted for a taupe shadow on her eyelids with a heavy flick of liquid eyeliner.
Just hours after her second outing of the day, Angelina showed her caring side when she dropped down to the floor to get eye-level with a fan who had experienced a panic attack.
The incident occurred when the UNHCR ambassador and humanitarian arrived at the New York City set of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart where she encountered the supporter, bundled up in winter wear.
Not minding about dirtying her black satin-sided trousers, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress walked over, propping herself up on her knees, to comfort the anxious fan.
After consoling the woman, Angie held on to her camera, and leaned in to pose for a photo – surely one that will not soon be forgotten.
Angelina looked her usual elegant self, stylishly pairing her pretty trousers with a sleek white button-up coat, black high heels and a gold beaded bracelet.
For her appearance on the Comedy Central programme, the two-time Oscar winner wore her brunette locks down in loose curls and let her flawless complexion shine with minimal makeup aside from her trademark eyeliner.
The show’s host Jon Stewart appeared to be entranced by the beautiful star, admitting his decades-long admiration for her as well as confessing to have seen every single film she’s ever made.
After joking about what could have been, if Angie had ended up with him instead of her husband Brad Pitt, Jon revealed, ‘From the moment I met you, it must have been 20 years ago, [I thought] this person has talent.
He continued, telling her: ‘This person [Jolie] embodies something different, special. I’ve always thought that about you’.
Angelina, screening her second major directorial effort, a biopic on WWII POW Louis Zamperini titled Unbroken, appeared on The Daily Show to discuss the experience documenting the late hero’s story.
During her interview with Stewart she touched on the challenge of telling the late Zamperini’s story because, as she says, ‘his life is bigger than any movie we could ever make, he’s an extraordinary man. It’s so hard to sum up his life’.
After convincing the studio to give her the role as director, Angelina says she was caught ‘off guard’ and even thought to her self, “Oh my. I’m not sure I do [know what I’m doing].”‘
But it appears she does know what she’s doing, as her film, described by Stewart as ‘wonderful’ and ‘epic’, is considered to be a big contender at the Academy Awards in February.
The grueling drama hits US theatres December 25 and UK theatres December 26.
Meanwhile, prior to appearing on The Daily Show Angelina has been busy making the rounds promoting the biopic, and was scheduled for an interview on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night before it was cancelled.
‘There will not be new episodes tonight or Thursday evening,’ tweeted Fallon Tonight.
It turns out the three-time Emmy winner and his wife Nancy welcomed their second child – daughter Frances Cole Fallon – via surrogate at 8:45 Wednesday morning.
The Maleficent star can understand as she is a mother of six children – Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Knox & Vivienne.
Angelina and her husband Brad – who turns 51 this month – finally tied the knot on August 23 at their French estate, the Château Miraval.
Soon after the nuptials, the A-listers known as ‘Brangelina’ were back at work on the Malta set of their 1970s romance By the Sea.
The romantic drama, written and directed by Jolie, is due out in theatres in 2015.
