In the wake of his surprise album release last month, Drake has been enjoying the summer heat in style
Earlier this year Drake released his banger of a summer album Honestly, Nevermind which is full of energetic, dancefloor-filling tracks (check out gigantic hit “massive” for a taste) that nevertheless divided his fan base.
Whether you like the album or not, there’s no denying Drake has got summer wrapped in the style stakes. While taking a break from the studio, he’s been schooling us on how to do nonchalant warm weather fits all over Europe.
Case in point: he’s currently vacationing in St Tropez with YouTuber Suede Brooks, where he’s been yacht-hopped around the Cöte D’Azur in a peach-hued tee, baggy shorts and pair of box fresh sneaks. But it was Drake’s head gear that really piqued our interest; a bandana – likely the same one he wore round his neck for the majority of summer 2021 – which we assume he picked for its sweat-wicking ability.
It’s something Drake has been doing for the best part of the past month, too. While holidaying in Ibiza he wrapped a beige and white bandana round his head; on the same trip, he was pictured wearing a Nike sweatband you’d typically see Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal wearing on the tennis greens.
He’s not alone either. Harry Styles has also been repping the sweat-mopping bandana akin to the sort of kerchief J Lo wore in the early Aughts this summer. While out and about with Olivia Wilde in Los Angeles earlier this year, Styles used one to keep his hair back and his forehead shine-free. Colin Farrell has been beating unsightly perspiration with one, as has Dwyane Wade. It’s a style move worth considering while we tackle our own blast of summer heat here in the UK
