Jay Z’s latest revelation about Beyoncé has shocked fans, as their collaboration remains more popular than ever.

Where most celebrity couples try to stave off interest in their relationships and marriages with fierce privacy, Black pop culture’s most famous couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, have leaned into capitalising on curiosity about their union by sharing bits and pieces of the highs and lows of their marriage in their music.

The rapper recently thrilled and shocked fans with a revelation that Beyoncé had moved out of their home and back in with her mother during a rough patch in their marriage.

Bossip reports that the song is by frequent Beyoncé collaborator D’Angelo, and it is called I Want You Forever off The Book of Clarence soundtrack, which was produced and composed by Jay-Z.

“You know that week you ran back to your mama house, ask my friend, they can vouch/Slept on the couch ‘cause the bed ain’t a bed without you,” raps Jay-Z.

This is not the first time the celebrity couple laid their marital woes bare on a music project. In 2016, Beyoncé opened up about Jay-Z’s cheating and the impact it had on her health and their life in her critically acclaimed album, Lemonade.

The following year, he responded to her album with a sonic apology in the form of an album titled 4:44.
